Pumpkin Chai by NEST Fragrances Becomes an Autumn Tradition
Returning Luxury Scented Candle a Seasonal Favorite
As summer draws to a close and the warm weather becomes cool, our thoughts inevitably turn to the upcoming fall season and all the joy, splendor and annual traditions it brings. Whether thinking about an October leaf-peeping trip to New England with a loved one, planning a frightfully festive Halloween party, or dreaming about that mouth-watering Thanksgiving-day menu, our fondest memories are inextricably connected to the returning colors, sounds and scents we expect every year when autumn arrives.
Just as we look forward to the return of the best traditions the fall season has to offer year after year, NEST Fragrances announces the return of its beloved and wildly popular seasonal luxury scented candle, Pumpkin Chai. With a festively fragrant blend of wild pumpkin, spicy masala chai, cardamom, ginger and cinnamon, Pumpkin Chai brings a cozy, warm and inviting ambiance to any annual autumn occasion or celebration.
“When I designed Pumpkin Chai for Neiman Marcus two years ago, I had no idea it would become such a cult-classic,” said home fragrance expert Laura Slatkin, founder and CEO of NEST Fragrances. “Pumpkin Chai was the first candle added to my NEST Fragrances Collection that had a colored glass container, wax and box…we had no idea how it would be received. I was astounded when it quickly sold out that first season, so we made twice the amount last year and that still wasn’t enough! I am thrilled our customers enjoy Pumpkin Chai so much and have made it an important part of their autumn traditions.”
Susan Webster Adams, co-owner of Candles Off Main, the largest luxury home fragrance store in the U.S., said about Pumpkin Chai on her blog (August 12, 2010): “Within minutes of lighting the candle, swirls of spices surround me. I am quickly enveloped in the scent of pumpkin, chai and cinnamon. Make no mistake – this is no Pumpkin Pie candle. Somehow NEST has managed to create a scent so yummy yet not at all sweet. I do want to eat it, though, it’s that delicious. The addition of chai spices adds a very sophisticated accent, making it less American and more ethnic. I like that twist. Well traveled and comfortable, like a worn pair of jeans. It’s definitely not a fresh, fleshy pumpkin scent either. It’s more of a baked, warm, pumpkin. So cozy and yet so refined. This is a fragrance that would work in the most casual apartment to the most elegant home.”
Housed in translucent brown glass with rich, orange-colored wax, and packaged in a sophisticated and luxurious brown and orange box, Pumpkin Chai is available in an 8.1 oz. candle for $32 (SRP). It will be available for purchase at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and specialty stores nationwide, including Candles Off Main, beginning in September.
